Does The Bathroom Factory Shop accept returns and exchanges?
We most certainly do, however please take the time to read our returns policy below so that you are familiar with what options are available to you, should you wish to return your purchase.
Your goods will be checked thoroughly upon delivery of your purchase – please ensure that there will be somebody available to thoroughly inspect the goods with our delivery staff.
Once the goods have been checked and approved by the customer to be in good order and undamaged, The Bathroom Factory Shop will not be held liable for any form of damage occurring to the goods. This includes water damaged goods, installation faults, damaged, cracked, or chipped products, or any other damage while in transit or installation by the customer.
If you have any questions or need further clarity on anything mentioned above, send us an email on info@bathroomfactoryshop.co.za. There are no returns on any sale items.
Important: All returns must be approved by our team first.
Do you need to return something?
Please see our returns policy below:
1- If you would like to lodge a return, kindly contact us on info@bathroomfactoryshop.co.za within 14 days of receiving your delivery.
2- Please take note – we do not currently offer exchanges, only refunds or gift vouchers to the value of the purchase, excluding delivery fees paid.
3- Item(s) you want to return must be undamaged and in their original boxes/packaging. Packaging must be in good order and undamaged.
Please note – if your items do not meet the above requirements, we may not approve your return.
4- The delivery cost to return the item to us will be at your own expense. You will either need to return the goods to our Factory Shop based at 25 Stellenberg Road, Parow Industria, Cape Town, or alternatively goods collected by our delivery vehicle will be charged at the normal delivery rate. Items collected by our delivery vehicle will need to be inspected to ensure that they meet the above return requirements.
5- We do not refund the original delivery fees and you will have to pay delivery/collection fee for returns and for any replacement item(s)you choose.
6- Please ensure when sending an item back to us that your full name and order number reflects on the parcel.
7- We must receive the items back within 14 days of purchase.

Delivery policy
Where in South Africa are we able to deliver to?
We currently offer delivery of goods exclusively within the greater Cape Town area, within 25km from our Factory Shop in Parow Industria.
The following areas fall within our delivery routes:
Paarl
Stellenbosch
Somerset West
Cape Town Southern suburbs, up until Tokai
Cape Town Northern suburbs
Cape Town city centre, including Seapoint and Vredehoek

How long does delivery take, and what are the delivery costs?
Delivery will take place within 10 working days of placing your order. Our team will contact you to arrange your delivery as we usually deliver to each area/suburb once a week. Should our driver arrive at your premises as arranged, and nobody is available to accept your delivery, you will need to arrange for collection from our premises or pay another delivery charge for us to redeliver your goods.
Please note working days do not include weekends or public holidays, and delivery only takes place on working days (Monday to Thursday between 9am and 4pm and Fridays between 9am and 3pm).
Delivery within 25km of The Bathroom Factory Shop will cost R300 Including VAT. Any orders falling outside of this delivery range will need to arrange for collection at our factory shop premises, or at a landmark which falls within our delivery areas.
Do you offer click and collect?
Yes we do, for those who would like to collect, please select the collection option at checkout. Once your order has been processed, you will receive an email notifying you that your order is ready for collection.

If I live outside of the delivery area, am I still able to order your products?
Yes you can, you will just need to choose the click and collect option at checkout, and arrange your own courier/transport to collect the goods from our premises and deliver it to you.
If you are sending a courier, please ensure that all the relevant details are sent to us. Goods will be checked with the courier upon collection, and the Bathroom Factory Shop does not accept any liability for these goods once they have left our premises. Most couriers do offer insurance for damage to goods during transit, which we highly recommend if you are using a courier to collect goods on your behalf. This insurance will be at your own cost and discretion.
Please wait for our notification that your goods are ready for collection before sending your transport/courier to collect.
Do you provide tracking information?
As we provide our own delivery service, we do not provide tracking information. We will however keep you informed regarding your delivery. In the rare event that you have not heard from us regarding your delivery within 5 working days, please feel free to contact us.
General notes on delivery
Whilst we do our best to provide the fastest and best delivery turnaround time, sometimes certain events are beyond our control and can cause delays to deliveries. We will however be in contact with you to update you on the date of your delivery. We will provide you with a delivery date and estimated time (times given are estimates and can be delayed due to traffic and/or other reasons beyond our control). Protection of Personal Information Act
Hammonds Joinery CC Trading as The Bathroom Factory Shop is committed to the adherence of national legislation and regulations pertaining to the safeguard of data privacy.
Accordingly:
  • We undertake to process all clients or prospective client’s personal information in a lawful and fair manner and shall use information previously provided to it for reasons directly relevant to the relationship between you, or your company or undertaking’s relationship with us, which includes but is not limited to:
    • Processing invoices, credit notes, delivery notes, statements and any other document related to the sale and delivery of goods.
    • Compliance with applicable related statutes or other legal or regulatory requirements or industry codes applicable, or where it is otherwise allowed by law.
  •  We will not communicate your personal information to third parties, or obtain information about you from third parties without your consent unless:
  • It is necessary for the conduct of the relationship with yourself, for example, employees who are required to be informed of your personal information to process invoices and other documents pertaining to the supply of goods, attorneys, tracing agents, debt collectors who may assist in the enforcement of the contractual agreement etc.
  • As required or authorized by law.
  • We undertake not to disclose the Customer’s personal information unless we are legally or contractually required to do so.
  • We agree to use all reasonable efforts to ensure that the Customer’s personal information in our possession is kept confidential, stored in a secure manner, and processed in terms of POPI, and only for the purposes for which it has been authorised.
  • Information will not be kept longer than is necessary for the purposes collected, unless required by law.
  • By purchasing goods on our website, the Customer hereby provide their consent for The Bathroom Factory Shop to process their personal information and acknowledge that they understand the purpose for which it is required and for which it will be used.
After purchase care of products and Guarantees
Please note that all products should only be cleaned with a damp cloth, and a very mild solution of sunlight liquid diluted in water. Once you have wiped the cabinet down with the damp cloth, dry the cabinet.Do not use abrasive cleaning materials, especially those which contain ammonia to clean your cabinet as these will damage your cabinet and hardware. Ammonia is a corrosive chemical and will attack the chrome plating on handles, hinges, cabinet feet and runners, and it will also stain and discolor resin basins.If your cabinet is in direct sunlight, we suggest that you put a blind onto your window during the heat of the day, as constant direct sunlight may cause delamination over time.Led Mirrors purchases:
  • Spares can be purchased from the Bathroom Factory Shop if anything goes wrong outside of the guarantee period
  • When mirrors are exposed to excessive moisture, the moisture can get between the layer of silver and the backing. This causes the bond to break and the silvering to chip off behind the glass, leaving your mirror with unsightly dark spots or black edges where the silver has fallen away. To prevent this from happening, we have applied silicone to the edges of all mirrors sold at The Bathroom Factory Shop. If a customer would like to decrease the chances of this happening to their mirror over time, we recommend that silicone is reapplied on a regular basis – annually. No guarantee is given on the mirror itself, as factors such as living at the coast, high moisture areas or the use of abrasive cleaning materials are factors which will erode mirrors over time.
  • You will need to appoint a qualified electrician to install your LED mirror. We recommend that the electrician connects the LED mirror directly onto your main power supply. The LED mirror has its own switch to put the LED’s on and off as required. All costs associated with the electrician are for your own account and the Bathroom Factory Shop is not liable for these costs.
  • A 1 year guarantee is given on the LED Lights, power supply and switch.
  • This guarantee is only valid if proof can be supplied that there is a surge arrestor installed on your distribution board, and that the LED mirror was installed by a registered electrician.
  • In cases where customers do not have a surge arrestor installed, or the LED mirrors were not installed by a registered electrician, repairs will be for the customer’s own account.
Toilets
  • Toilets need to be installed by a registered plumber, all costs associated with the plumber are for your own account and the Bathroom Factory Shop is not liable for these costs.
  • Do not install toilets using cement – the brackets supplied with the toilets should be used for installation, and cement should not be used under any circumstances. Expansion and contraction of the cement will cause your toilet to crack.
  • 5 Year guarantee on glazing. Excludes chips and cracks as these are not manufacturing faults.
  • 1 Year guarantee on toilet mechanisms
  • 6 month guarantee on plastic soft close toilet seat (soft close mechanisms only), thereafter new seats can be purchased from the Bathroom Factory Shop
  • 1 year guarantee on duraplast soft close toilet seat (soft close mechanisms only), thereafter new seats can be purchased from the Bathroom Factory Shop
  • All guarantees voided if goods are not installed by a registered plumber
Cabinets
  • Cabinets need to be installed by a registered plumber, all costs associated with the plumber are for your own account and the Bathroom Factory Shop is not liable for these costs.
  • 1 Year guarantee for manufacturing flaws on cabinets. Excludes chips and cracks on basins, as these are not manufacturing faults. The guarantee does not include the following: Water damage, scratches or chips in the foil, delamination due to improper installation, or any other damage arising from improper installation.
  • All guarantees voided if goods are not installed by a registered plumber
Basins
  • Basins need to be installed by a registered plumber, all costs associated with the plumber are for your own account and the Bathroom Factory Shop is not liable for these costs.
  • Do not install basins using cement, as the expansion and contraction of the cement will cause the porcelain to crack.
  • 5 Year guarantee on glazing. Excludes chips and cracks as these are not manufacturing faults.
  • Some of our cabinet and basin combo’s have porcelain basins, and some have resin basins. Both have their own advantages as follows:
Resin basins
  • Basins are perfectly straight and have modern, straight lines
  • Light scratches can be buffed out, and small chips can be repaired (a slight colour variation may be seen on the repaired spot)
  • Resin basins should NOT be cleaned with any abrasive cleaning materials, and do not use dyes, acetones etc in resin basins
Porcelain basins
  • Do not scratch or discolour
  • Easy to clean
Wall mounted basinsNone of our basins are wall mountable unless specified by ourselves in the product information. Do not wall mount basins which are not meant for this purpose.Plumbing fittingsAll plumbing fittings requires to install the products purchased on our website will need to be supplied by your plumber. We only sell the cabinets, basins, toilets and mirrors, and do not supply the additional plumbing fittings required for installation.
